On July 16, 1990, the Catholic Church elected David Allen Bawden as Pope, who took the name of Michael. To the left you can find the Papal Blog, where the Pope discusses many things as they occur.
To the right, Pope Michael is visiting Mushroom Rock State Park near Carneiro, Kansas. His grandmother remembered playing around this rock formation as a child, because she was born on the Hornischer farm where this rock formation is located. The Hornischer's later moved to Texas. Pope Michael's grandparetns eventually moved ito Oklahom City, where his mother and father met and were eventually married. Pope Michael, his parents and his grandmother eventually ended up back in Kansas just west of Topeka.
