Joseph and Josephnie Hornischer both immigrated from Moravia (now the Czech Republic) to Carneiron, Kansas, where the Mushroom Rock is located. They then moved to Texas. The picture above is Clara Barton with her sister from Ellsworth, Kansas at the Mushroom Rock in the 1960's
